We are proud to publish news caming from our friend Jørgen Johnsen .

After 15 years with racing Ducati, we jumped ship and went for a brand-new project in 2021. Covid-19 travel restrictions meant that we had to race domestic championship here in Norway and together with Speed Motorcenter and Yamaha we put together a good base for 2021.
After consulting with Marco Cortecchia from Mectronik and Ricciardo Vareschi from RV-Tech we decided to go for Mectronik MK7E Std ECU´s on our bikes, combined with 2D. Luckily, we also connected with Jørgen Johnsen who has experience with Mectronik from ESBK and Yamaha R6.
Since not many had used Mectronik MK7E on Yamaha R1, we knew there was a bit of work to be done.
With no or minimal experience with developing wiring harness, it was a challenge to make them from scratch, but we gained a lot of knowledge.
Season started with some test days at local tracks, and together with Jørgen, Riky and Marco we had an ok starting base.
During the first race, base was getting better, and we drove the whole race week with almost no change. Winning all 3 races, pole position and new track record.
For second race we had some test days and made some changes to the power delivery and bike kept improving. Leaving us with two new victories and a 2nd place on rain. On dry track Ole Bjørn was really fast and setting lap times 1,5 seconds faster than the rest.
Final race week of the season which also resulted in smashing lap record and new victories. Winning the championship with 2 races to go.
During the season we feel the Mectronik MK7E works very well on our R1M and we feel we have a better tool to adjust bike to our needs.
We also like to thank Marco Cortecchia and Ricciardo Vareschi for the outstanding support this season and is looking forward to next season.
